Obituary of Darwin Eugene Stemple

Darwin E. Stemple, 74, of Terra Alta, died suddenly on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at home. The son of the late Ishmael C. and Elsie Mae Wotring Semple, he was born September 12, 1943 in Corinth. He retired from Sterling Faucet after 33 years. After retirement, he worked at the Preston Farmers Market and enjoyed farming. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon L. Stemple; two sons Darwin Stemple, Jr. and wife, Dawn and James Stemple, all of Terra Alta; two brothers, Ellis Stemple of Terra Alta and Roger Stemple of Fairmont; four sisters, Dora (Russell) White of Oakland, Carolyn (Allen) Mullenax of Horse Shoe Run, Linda (Charles) Sypolt of Albright and Martha Syruws; two grandchildren, Tasha and Arnold Alexander and one great granddaughter, Sophia Poling and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, David Syruws and a sister-in-law, Hazel Stemple. Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 and from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 until the 11:00 a.m. time of service with Pastor Stanley Waybright officiating.
