Jerry L. Field - Director / Owner

Jerry, a licensed funeral director, embalmer and pre-need counselor, is a Preston County native and 1986 graduate of West Preston High School. He is a graduate of Fairmont State College and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Sciences. He co-owns Field Funeral Home in Masontown with his wife, Jennifer.

He is very active in the community and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those who are in need. Jerry enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and working on old cars, especially Pontiac Trans Ams. He loves taking "road trips" all over the country, either in the Trans Am or on his Harley.

Jerry resides in Masontown with his wife Jennifer. They have two children, Ceara Peddicord and husband, Tyler of Kingwood and Joshua L. Field and wife, Ashley of New Bern, NC.



Jennifer L. Field - Co-Owner

Jennifer is a Clarksburg native and a 1989 graduate of Roosevelt-Wilson High School. She is co-owner of Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home and Field Funeral Home in Masontown with her husband, Jerry. With our memorial packages, she can add a personalized element to your service, to have the most memorable and meaningful service to honor your loved one.

She is a certified optician with the American Board of Opticianry and retired after twenty five years in the optical industry. Jennifer enjoys traveling, boating, camping and going on road trips with Jerry. She loves spending time with her family.  

Jennifer resides in Masontown with her husband Jerry. They have two children, Ceara Peddicord and husband, Tyler of Kingwood and Joshua L. Field and wife, Ashley of New Bern, NC.



Sam Moon - Licensee in Charge / Funeral Director

Sam has over a decade of experience in the funeral service industry. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University in elementary education and an Associate’s degree from Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science in Funeral Service. He has worked in a number of funeral homes in Maryland and West Virginia. Prior to that, Sam worked 15 years as a health educator in Garrett County and 2 years as EMS operations director in Grant County. Sam is currently the pastor of Fairview Church in Oakland, MD and a member of Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad and Bayard Volunteer Fire Department. He and his wife, Julie, live in Bayard, WV. They have 6 grown children and five grandchildren.



Denise K. Howdershelt - Funeral Director

Denise is a lifetime resident of Reedsville. She is a daughter of Helen (Garner) Born and the late Jacob Born. Denise is the mother of one son, Tanner Howdershelt. She is a 2002 graduate of Preston High School, 2004 graduate of West Virginia Junior College with an Associate Degree in Information Technology and is currently attending the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science to obtain her degree in funeral service education. She is a member of the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoys camping, completing Scouting activities, cooking and baking with her son and being with her family.

Harleigh Wildesen, Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director  / CCO / Monument Designer

Harleigh is a resident of Oakland, MD. She is a 2020 graduate of Southern Garrett High school, 2021 Graduate of Garrett College, and a 2024 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS). She graduated Summa Cum Laude at Garrett College with an associates degree in Business Administration. While at PIMS she graduated Summa Cum Laude with an associates degree in Mortuary Arts & Sciences and her certification to be a Crematory Operator (CCO). Harleigh is a member of the Cross Roads Church in Deep Creek Lake, MD. In her spare time, she enjoys playing slow pitch softball, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. 


Sonia J. Greaser - Director

Sonia is a graduate of Central Preston High School, class of 1978, and of West Virginia University with a bachelor of science in Business Administration. She went to the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1992 and obtained her Funeral Directors license. Sonia along with her husband, Robert, and Mark Spear, went into partnership in 1996 and purchased Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home. She co-owned and operated the business until 2015 when it was purchased by Jerry L. & Jennifer L. Field of Masontown. She enjoys her job and the people in the community so much that she stayed on board to work with Jerry on his new business venture. On May 31, 2024, Sonia retired after many years in the funeral business and 9 years of service with us.
