Obituary of Beatrice Geraldine Cramer
Beatrice Geraldine DeWitt Cramer, 94, of Terra Alta, Cranesville Community, died Saturday December 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. The daughter of the late Ray and Callie Ringer DeWitt, she was born October 28, 1923 in Preston County. Beatrice was Methodist by faith and she was an inspiration to anyone that knew her. She loved to read her bible daily. She also loved gardening, canning and people visiting. She worked as an aide at Hopemont Hospital for many years. She is survived by two sons and spouses, Lonnie and Shirley Cramer and James and Edna Cramer, all of Terra Alta; one daughter, Shirley Metheny of Terra Alta; one brother, Hubert DeWitt of Kingwood; one daughter-in-law, Martha Cramer of Bruceton Mills; 20 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren and many foster children that called her Grandma; two dear friends, Wes Nazelrod and Jay Freeland; a special grandson, Craig Stewart; and the family dog and her companion, Eddie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Reed Alton Cramer; two daughters, Bonnie Hauger and Jean Brock; two sons, Jack and Mark (Benny) Cramer; two sisters, Hazel P. Kelly and Edna F. Metheny; one brother, Lewis W. (Jake) DeWitt; and five angel sibling babies. Family and friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Tuesday, December 5,2017, from 4-7pm. The funeral service will be 1pm, Wednesday December 6, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. David Spence officiating.
