Obituary of Charles Richard Sines

Charles Richard "Tommy" Sines, 70, of Terra Alta, died Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland. The son of the late Arthur R. and Dortha L. Freeland Sines, he was born November 9, 1952, in Oakland. Tommy worked for Buffalo Coal for 25 years and then Arch Coal until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. To know him was to love him. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lora Jane "Janie" Sines; four daughters, Amy (Steve) DeBerry of Reedsville, Angela (Jamie) Savage of Terra Alta, Crystal Moon of Grafton, and Brayleigh Springs-Sines of Terra Alta; two sons, Thomas R. "L.T." Sines of Terra Alta and Michael Moore of Gormania; one brother, Teddy (Genell) Sines of Grafton; one sister, Patricia (Terry) Cramer of Terra Alta; 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Justin and Sonya Shears, Payden Moon, Blaine and Ryan DeBerry, Jaden, Colin and Liam Savage and Brandon Sines; two great grandchildren, McKinleigh and Henry; his favorite fur babies, Molly, Sadie and Bella; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Karen Dalton, Judy Hall and Peggy Everly and a brother, Roy Junior Sines. Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Sunday from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 23, 2023, until the 12:00 p.m. time of service with Rev. Leslie Hipp officiating.
