Obituary of Ira Junior Bolyard

Ira Junior Bolyard,

age 92, of Aurora, WV, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023, at Stonerise in Kingwood, WV.

Ira (June) was born in Aurora, WV on October 12, 1931, to Ira Nelson Bolyard and Nellie Viola (Stieringer) Bolyard.

After serving in the United States Army during the  Korean war, he worked as a pipefitter for Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 152.

Ira was the last surviving member of his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Waybright) Bolyard, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters, and a stepson, Thomas Simmons and his first wife Patricia.

Left to cherish his memories are step daughter Vesta Gank, step daughter-in-law Menjil Simmons, and step son Larry Simmons. Step grandchildren always close by his side were Tadjana Ross (daughter Ashley) and Debbie Brammer (son Thomas). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

At his request, Ira will be cremated and buried with his wife, Mary. A private celebration of life for them will be determined at a later date.
