Obituary of William W Wolfe

William Wayne Wolfe, Sr,

76, of Terra Alta died Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at home.

The son of the late Charles Reed and Lucy Conner Wolfe, he was born April 7, 1946, in Terra Alta.

His most recent occupation was a stay-at-home Dad to children, grandchildren and many foster children. He was an auto and truck mechanic, body repairman and coal miner. He loved to cook and bake pumpkin rolls and other sweets.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon Wolfe; one son, Gary (Beth Ann) Wolfe of Terra Alta; four daughters, Brenda (Sam) Sisler, Cassandra Wolfe (Jesse), and Sierra "Blondie" (Nick) Hawkins, all of Terra Alta and Lora Cumpston of Salem; two foster sons, Lance Tate and Patrick Butto; one brother, Robert Reed (Shirley) Wolfe Sr. of Reedsville; two sisters, Judy (John) Rehe and Shirley Turner all of Masontown; 13 grandchildren: Gary (Arianna) Wolfe, Jr., Elizabeth (Dakota) Null, Sammie (Keegan) Mahony, Gabrielle Wolfe (Elijah Cress), John Sisler, Josh (Robin) Sisler, Jeremiah Wolfe and girlfriend, Gabe, Zachariah (Ashley) Wolfe, Delilah Wolfe, William Salisbury, Ivan, Herbert and Nicholas Hawkins; eight great grandchildren, Keegan Jr., Molly, Weston, Jaxson, Roguen, Joplin, Kenzey and Elley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Wolfe, Jr. and one sister, Marlyn McClendon.

Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta from 3-6:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 12:00 noon on Monday February 6, 2023 until the 1:00 p.m. time of service with Pastor Donnie Savage officiating.
