Obituary of Anise Elaine Snyder

Anise Elaine Snyder,

93 of Aurora, passed away at her daughters' home in Terra Alta on Sunday July 17, 2022, with family by her side.

The daughter of the late William F. Huffman and Daisy Ellen Hall, she was born August 22, 1928 in Rowlesburg.

She was a member of the Maple Grove Assembly of God Church for over 40 years.

Anise was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, sewing quilts, and canning. She loved family gatherings.

She is survived by five children, William (Donna) Snyder of Aurora, Ellen Paugh of Thomas, Sandy Snyder of Terra Alta, Larry (Vickie) Snyder of Rowlesburg and Debbie Durr of Terra Alta; two brothers, Foster Huffman of Terra Alta and Dale (Judy) Huffman of Morgantown; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank Snyder in 2016; two sons-in-law, Ernest Durr and Herman Paugh; a grandson, Allen Snyder; one brother, William Arlin Huffman; and three sisters, Jean Keller, Helen Nice and Catherine V. Bolyard.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Amedisys staff for their special care and kindness.

Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Wednesday from 4-8:00 p.m. and from noon on Thursday, July 21, 2022 until the 1:00 p.m. time of service with Pastor Ryan Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Accident Cemetery at Horse Shoe Run.
