Obituary of Ronnie Loraine Metheny

Ronnie Loraine Metheny,

76, of Terra Alta died Wednesday May 25, 2022 at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.

The son of the late Dana and Olive Metheny, he was born June 23, 1945 in Kingwood.

He was a member of the Corinth United Methodist Church. Ronnie's career as a meat cutter had him employed at Thomas Big Key and IGA in Terra Alta, and Foodland in Kingwood. He enjoyed music, playing music and farming.

He is survived by his wife 53 years,  Sarah Frankhouser Metheny; a son and spouse, Allen and Amey Metheny of PA; a daughter and spouse, Rhonda and Nathan Poling of Grafton; a brother and spouse, Joseph "Pat" and Phyllis Metheny of Terra Alta; his twin sister, Connie Stewart of Baltimore; four grandchildren, Emma Metheny, Wyatt, Anna and Gracie Poling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Stewart.

Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, until the 11:00 a.m. time of service with Rev. Eric Beeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery.
