Obituary of Rodger Allan Feather

Rodger Allan Feather,

63, of Terra Alta died Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Preston Memorial Hospital, Kingwood.

The son of Charles R. Feather of Terra Alta and the late Phyllis E. Bolyard Feather, he was born October 30, 1957, in Kingwood.

He was a member of Crellin United Brethren Church. He graduated from Terra Alta High School in the class of 1978 and has been employed at Lewis and Burge since 1977. He was a member of the Terra Alta VFD.

He is survived by two sons, Justin Feather of Terra Alta, and Chad (Rebecca) Feather of Morgantown; a daughter, Melody (Paul) Stemple of McHenry, MD; a brother, David Feather of Capon Bridge; a sister, Midge (Scott) Ray of Terra Alta; seven grandchildren, Leo, Carter, Shawana, Johnny, Abbigail, Kaleb and Kiria and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Angela E. Feather on June 16, 2020, and a brother, Michael Feather.

Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta from noon on Friday, October 15, 2021, until the 2:00 p.m. time of service with Pastor Ed Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Terra Alta VFD, 1120 East State Avenue, Terra Alta, WV 26764.

Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored, and all guests are to wear a mask.
