I met Della Mae and Clayton in July of 1969. They welcomed me with love into their hearts immediately. Over the next 52 years we stayed in touch as much as we could. They would stop to see me where I worked just to say hi. Once I moved to Ohio the visits weren’t as often but we still stayed in touch. Della Mae Loughry you will be missed on earth but enjoy your mansion in heaven. My condolences to all the family.

I was so sorry to hear of Della's passing.. I really enjoyed the times I talked to her, when her and Clayton stopped by not too long after Mike and I were married and we kept in touch throughout the years. I used to tell my kids how she reminded my of Loretta Lynn. When I told Della that she would laugh that beautiful laugh she had.... I am going to miss talking to her by phone and sending her cards...She was so special to me!

To the family...she certainly will be missed by MANY...not just family.

Moose and all the family, Della was a wonderful lady and will be sadly missed. I can almost guarantee that just about every graduate from Terra Alta High School has had some of Della's delicious food at one of the many class reunions she and her crew cooked for. Sorry for your loss.
