Obituary of Lewis Craig Durst

Lewis Craig Durst, 57, of Aurora (Amboy community) died Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at home with family by his side. The son of Lewis A. Durst of Aurora and the late Hazel Coliene Wilt Durst, he was born August 16, 1959 in Oakland, MD. Craig was a graduate of the last class of Aurora High School in 1977. He was involved with the band, basketball and was president of the FFA. He then attended WVU and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Ag Mechanics. Craig participated in the community band. He worked for over 20 years in John Deere Sales in Oakland, MD where he earned many trips. He traveled to England, Europe and Hawaii to name a few. In 2009 he returned home to help manage the family farm with his father. He was a kind and caring son, brother and neighbor. In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother and spouse, Bradley and Lori Durst of Aurora, a sister and spouse, Carla and Danny Summers of Morgantown; he was super uncle to Meghan McGregor and spouse Reece, Kendra Alexander and spouse Aaron, Eric Durst and spouse Maureen and Travis Summers; great uncle to Ainsley and Avery Alexander and Genevive "Evie" and Gwen Durst, and numerous cousins. Fellowship Hall on Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. and at the Amboy United Methodist Church from 10:00 on Saturday, December 10, 2016 until the 11:00 a.m. time of service with Pastor Cheryl George officiating.
