Obituary of Betty Marlene O'Brien

Betty Marlene O'Brien, 73, of Terra Alta (Cranesville Community) died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD. The daughter of the late John E. and Elizabeth L. Shaffer Cogley, she was born November 10, 1947 in Cumberland, MD. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles T. O'Brien; a son, Trent (Marjorie) O'Brien of Cranesville; a daughter, Trinia (Mike) Edwards of Moatsville; three sisters, Patricia Litten of New Creek, WV, Darlene (Don) Biser of Keyser and Caroline (Paul) Viragh of Cranesville; five gerandchildren, Brandon, Aleesha and John Bookout, Sabrinia Fike and Tyler O'Brien; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Cogley. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Garrett Regional Medical Center Staff on the third floor and Lisa from Hospice. Cremation services will be provided by Arthur H.
