Obituary of Ralph James Hardesty

Ralph James Hardesty,

64, of Terra Alta died Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Stonerise Nursing Home in Kingwood.

The son of Betty Jean Sisler Strawser of Terra Alta and the late Grant Hardesty, he was born May 31, 1956 in Crellin, MD.

Ralph loved Chevy trucks. He did auto body work and painted cars. He loved to hunt and fish and horseback ride on the farm. He enjoyed 4-wheeler rides, mowing grass and playing the lottery. He liked to see everyone happy.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Kenneth Hardesty of Albright, Anthony Hardesty of Swanton, MD and Chastity Hardesty and fiancé Robert Huntzberry of Sharpsburg, MD; three sisters, Brenda Thomas of Oakland, Alpha Loughry and Ethel Butler both of Terra Alta; four grandchildren, Colin Crowl, Jacob Barklow, Brooklynn Hardesty and Adam Hershman; and a step-brother, David Strawser.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Ray and Conley Hardesty; step-father, Norman Strawser and step-sister, Joy Wimer.

There will be private family visitation followed by cremation services.
