Obituary of Ronald Grant Taylor
?Ronald Grant Taylor, 74, born December 10, 1946 to the late Charles and Helen Taylor at his house on Saltlick where he lived until he passed after a battle with COVID-19 and pneumonia at Ruby Memorial on December 18, 2020.
He will be remembered for helping others and trying to see the positives in all situations. He loved wood working, playing pool, running his sawmill, and making wine. He was a blessing to many of us and will be remembered with love.
He is survived by his three children Crissy (Brian) Tasker, Lori (Tom) Sites and Ronald Taylor II; two step children, Zach (Patty) Beyer and Jennifer (Jason) Watchorn; five grandchildren Mitchell Taylor, Cesilie Tasker, Tommy Sites, Kawin Tasker, and Ian Sites; two great-grandchildren Matthew Taylor and Wyatt Taylor; three siblings Edna Britton, Bill (Betty) Taylor and Linda Sanders; three step siblings Ray (Judy) Bolyard, Susan (Jim) Hatcher and Wallace (Sharon) Bolyard; sister in law, Lu Bolyard; two ex-wives Beverley Shaffer and Debbie Taylor and many nieces, nephews and cousins and a ton of friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older sisters Erma Reese and Wilma Wingard; three brothers in law Glendon Britton, Bill Reese, and Bill Tom Sanders; step-mother Grace Taylor; step-sibling Bill Bolyard and a nephew Hunter McCartney.
Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 4 – 8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11am with Pastor Kevin Keplinger officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG Honor Guard.
A dinner will follow at the Terra Alta Community Building after the committal service at the cemetery.
Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
