Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Bennett

Mary E. Bennett, 77, of Terra Alta, died Saturday April 25, 2020 at home surrounded by family. The daughter of the late Viola M. Freeland and Charles G. Hebb, Sr. she was born April 3, 1943 in Tunnelton. She retired from Hopemont Hospital as a nurse's aide with over 25 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She is survived by two sons and spouses, Jimmy and Ellda Bennett of Terra Alta and Michael and Tammy Bennett of Newport, NC; two daughters, Carolyn Bennett and Viola Bennett, both of Terra Alta; four brothers, Ira, Marvin, Howard and Bradley Hebb; four sisters, Kay Hull, Hattie Hull, Linda Sheets and Zelda Tompkins; six grandchildren, Aaron Tasker, Asa (Lauren) Tasker-Bennett, Danielle Bennett, Ruth, Brent and Nicklaus Bennett; two bonus grandchildren, Zane and Isabella Hovatter and one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Tasker-Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bennett, Sr. in 2011; two grandchildren, Olivia Bennett and baby boy Wilhelm; twin great grandchildren, Kaydence and Ayden Tasker-Bennett; three sisters, Shirley Hebb, Doris Titchenell and Ruth Sharpe, and one brother, Charles Hebb, Jr. There will be a graveside service Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the Terra Alta Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Dennis Lusin officiating.
